This type of moving service is one where the company will drop off the moving crates for you to pack on your own. They will come and load the crates on the truck after you call them and tell them they are ready to be picked up. They then take them to your new home and drop them off there for you. Once the self service movers have dropped off your crates you get to unpack them yourself. This way if any of your things are broken it is your responsibility, not the self movers.
